SCS Software Reveals First Gameplay of Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Coaches DLC
SCS Software has released the first official gameplay footage from the highly anticipated Coaches DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, offering players their first detailed look at the expansion's passenger transport gameplay. The new developer showcase features the MAN Lion's Coach, one of several officially licensed buses coming to the DLC, as it completes a scheduled route between Duisburg and Rotterdam.

The gameplay demonstration highlights much more than simply driving a different vehicle. During the journey, SCS Software showcases the new passenger satisfaction system, which will play a key role in every route. Players must follow schedules, ensure smooth and safe driving, make timely stops, and provide a comfortable experience for passengers. The footage also offers a detailed look at the MAN Lion's Coach, featuring its spacious interior, realistic dashboard, and authentic driving characteristics inspired by the real-world vehicle.
The upcoming Coaches DLC introduces an entirely new career path to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Instead of transporting cargo, players will operate scheduled bus services across Europe, driving fully licensed models including the MAN Lion's Coach, Scania Touring, and Volvo 9700 DD. Routes will connect major bus terminals and smaller regional stops, creating a fresh gameplay experience while making use of the existing ETS2 map in a completely different way.
SCS Software notes that the gameplay shown is still work in progress, meaning visuals, mechanics, and gameplay systems may continue to evolve before release. Although the studio has not yet announced a launch date, the first gameplay preview demonstrates that development is progressing steadily. With licensed coaches, dedicated passenger transport mechanics, and an expanded network of bus stations across Europe, the Coaches DLC is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious additions ever created for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
