Ghost From Call of Duty Joins Diamond Dogs in New Metal Gear Solid V Fan Mod
A talented modder has released Ghost Mod, a new fan-made modification for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that brings Simon "Ghost" Riley from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series into Kojima's stealth-action masterpiece. The mod transforms the iconic operator into a fully playable member of Diamond Dogs, allowing players to complete missions across Afghanistan and Africa while wearing Ghost's signature skull mask and tactical gear.

Unlike a simple character reskin, the updated version of the mod features an improved facial model, higher-quality textures, and refined details to better match Ghost's appearance from the Modern Warfare games. The character replaces the rescued soldier from Mission 5, after which players can recruit him to Mother Base and deploy him on future operations as part of their combat team.
The release is the latest example of the active modding community that continues to support Metal Gear Solid V more than a decade after its launch. In recent years, fans have created ambitious projects ranging from graphical overhauls and gameplay improvements to entirely new missions and playable characters, significantly extending the game's lifespan.
The Ghost Mod is available now for the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain through the Nexus Mods platform. While it doesn't introduce new gameplay mechanics or story content, it offers fans of both Metal Gear Solid and Call of Duty a stylish crossover, letting one of gaming's most recognizable special forces operators fight alongside Venom Snake's legendary mercenary unit.
