AOOSTAR Unveils GODY Mini PC With Ryzen 9 and RX 7600 XT, Challenging High-End Gaming Systems

Chinese manufacturer AOOSTAR has expanded global availability of its new GODY gaming mini PC, introducing a compact desktop powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HX processor and a dedicated Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card. Priced at $849, the system is positioned as an affordable alternative to premium gaming PCs—but buyers should note that the entry-level configuration is sold as a barebone unit, meaning RAM and SSD storage must be purchased separately.

At the heart of the GODY is AMD's 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen 9 7940HX, paired with an RX 7600 XT featuring 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The compact 3-liter chassis also includes Wi-Fi 7, dual 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports, support for DDR5-5200 memory, and two PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSD slots, making it a surprisingly powerful system for its size. Despite its compact dimensions, the mini PC offers multiple display outputs through HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C, allowing support for high-resolution multi-monitor setups.

The attractive starting price comes with an important caveat. The $849 configuration includes the processor, graphics card, motherboard, cooling system, chassis, and a Windows 11 Pro license, but does not include memory or storage. Once users add 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and a fast NVMe SSD, the total cost increases significantly, narrowing the price advantage over competing gaming systems. Industry analysts also note that ongoing increases in global DRAM prices have made memory upgrades considerably more expensive than in previous years.

Even so, the GODY stands out as one of the most capable gaming mini PCs currently available in its price range. By combining desktop-class graphics, a high-end Ryzen processor, modern connectivity, and an upgrade-friendly design, AOOSTAR is targeting players who want strong 1080p and 1440p gaming performance in a compact form factor without paying the premium typically associated with high-performance small-form-factor PCs.
