Developer MOON CATALYST has released a major update for the playable demo of its upcoming survival horror game Psycho Dead, accompanied by a brand-new gameplay trailer showcasing the latest improvements. The refreshed demo introduces gameplay refinements, technical enhancements, and additional polish as the studio continues preparing the game for its planned 2026 release on PC and PlayStation 5.

The updated demo lets players experience the opening 45–60 minutes of the game, following Elixia, a mysterious young woman with powerful psychic abilities who awakens inside a secret laboratory overrun by grotesque creatures. Throughout the demo, players use telekinesis, psychic blasts, protective barriers, and other supernatural powers to survive deadly encounters while solving environmental puzzles and uncovering the truth behind the facility's horrifying experiments.

The newly released trailer highlights several improvements made since earlier showcases, including refined combat animations, upgraded lighting, more detailed environments, and smoother enemy encounters. MOON CATALYST also showcased expanded stealth mechanics, enhanced visual effects for psychic abilities, and additional scenes featuring the terrifying Stalkers—mutated creatures that relentlessly pursue the player throughout the laboratory. The developers continue to describe Psycho Dead as a modern take on classic survival horror, blending resource management, exploration, puzzle-solving, and flexible combat into a science-fiction setting.

MOON CATALYST says the updated demo is intended to gather player feedback while demonstrating the game's progress ahead of launch. With improved gameplay, a polished presentation, and a fresh trailer highlighting its sci-fi horror atmosphere, Psycho Dead continues to build momentum as one of the more promising independent survival horror titles scheduled for 2026.
