Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Reveals PS5 Pro Enhancements and Console Graphics Modes
Ubisoft has released a brand-new technical showcase for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, highlighting the remake's visual improvements on PlayStation 5 Pro while also revealing the graphics modes available across current-generation consoles. Powered by the latest version of the Anvil Engine, the remake introduces advanced rendering technologies, ray tracing, and smoother performance ahead of its July 9 launch.

On the standard PlayStation 5, players will be able to choose between Performance Mode (60 FPS), Balanced Mode (40 FPS on supported 120Hz displays), and Fidelity Mode (30 FPS). Every graphics mode includes ray-traced global illumination, while the Balanced and Fidelity modes also feature ray-traced reflections for more realistic lighting and water effects. Xbox Series X offers a similar selection of display modes, giving console players the flexibility to prioritize either visual quality or frame rate.
The PS5 Pro version pushes the experience even further. Ubisoft confirmed support for PSSR 2.0, enhanced ray tracing across all graphics modes, strand-based hair rendering, HDR, Dolby Atmos audio, DualSense haptic feedback, and improved image quality made possible by the console's more powerful GPU. The developer also highlighted its new micropolygon rendering system, which allows environments to stream seamlessly with virtually no noticeable level-of-detail transitions.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is scheduled to launch on July 9, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Alongside its technical upgrades, the remake introduces modernized gameplay systems, improved stealth and parkour, expanded naval mechanics, and additional story content, making it far more than a simple visual remaster. With the latest console showcase, Ubisoft has given players their clearest look yet at what to expect from one of 2026's biggest action-adventure releases.
