Cygames Confirms Project Awakening, Lost Order, and Garnet Arena Are Still in Development
After years of silence, Cygames has reassured fans that several of its long-awaited projects remain in active development. During a recent company presentation, the studio confirmed that Project Awakening, Lost Order, and Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary are still part of its future lineup despite receiving few public updates over the past several years. The announcement comes after growing speculation that some of these titles had been quietly canceled following extended periods without new trailers or gameplay footage.

Among the projects, Project Awakening remains the most anticipated. Originally revealed in 2018, the fantasy action RPG impressed players with its detailed visuals, large-scale monster battles, and ambitious open-world design. Although development has taken much longer than expected, Cygames reiterated that the game is still in production and continues to be listed in the company's future release plans.
The update also confirms that Lost Order, a tactical RPG created in collaboration with industry veterans, and Garnet Arena: Mages of Magicary, an action fantasy project led by Kenichiro Takaki, have not been abandoned. While the company did not reveal new trailers, release windows, or gameplay details, the renewed acknowledgment suggests all three games remain part of Cygames' long-term console strategy.
Although fans will need to wait longer for concrete release information, Cygames' latest statement ends years of uncertainty surrounding these projects. For now, Project Awakening, Lost Order, and Garnet Arena are officially still alive, with more updates expected as development progresses.
