Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 & 2 Are Reportedly Skipping Nintendo Switch — Insider Reveals Disappointing News
Nintendo fans hoping to replay Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 may be out of luck. According to well-known insider CharlieIntel, Activision currently has no plans to bring the recently released ports of the two classic shooters to Nintendo's platforms. While the games have already launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, there is reportedly no Switch version in development at this time.

The rumor has surprised many players, especially because Microsoft signed a 10-year agreement with Nintendo to bring the Call of Duty franchise to Nintendo platforms following its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. With the more powerful Nintendo Switch 2 now available, many expected the classic Black Ops titles to arrive on the console as well. However, insiders claim that the current ports remain exclusive to PlayStation, with no announcements planned for Nintendo users.
Importantly, the report only concerns the Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 ports—not the future of the Call of Duty franchise on Nintendo hardware. Microsoft has repeatedly stated its long-term commitment to supporting Nintendo platforms, and previous reports suggest that a newer Call of Duty entry is still expected to arrive on Switch 2 in the future.
For now, Nintendo players will have to wait for an official announcement from Activision or Microsoft. Since the information comes from insider sources rather than the publisher itself, plans could still change. Nevertheless, if the report proves accurate, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops II will remain unavailable on Nintendo Switch despite strong demand from fans.
