Palworld Officially Leaves Early Access After 2.5 Years — Version 1.0 Is Finally Here
After two and a half years in Early Access, Palworld has officially reached Version 1.0, marking one of the biggest milestones in the game's history. Developer Pocketpair has launched the full release across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, macOS, and Game Pass, bringing years of updates and community feedback together in the game's complete edition. Ahead of the launch, the studio also revealed that Palworld has surpassed 40 million players worldwide, highlighting the enormous success the survival adventure achieved before even leaving Early Access.

Version 1.0 introduces the long-awaited World Tree update, adding a massive new region, additional Pals, fresh equipment, expanded story content, and numerous gameplay improvements. The update also delivers extensive balance changes, quality-of-life enhancements, and technical optimizations, making it the largest patch since the game's original Early Access debut. Existing players receive all of the new content as a free update.
In another surprise announcement, Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld's price will remain unchanged despite the full release. Although many successful Early Access games increase in price when reaching Version 1.0, the studio decided to keep the game at $29.99 as a thank-you to the community for supporting the project throughout its development. The developers also advised players to temporarily disable mods before updating, as the extensive changes introduced in Version 1.0 may cause compatibility issues until mod creators release updates.
The launch of Palworld 1.0 marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for Pocketpair's record-breaking survival game. With more than 40 million players, a complete feature set, and long-term post-launch support already planned, Palworld enters its full release as one of the most successful survival games of recent years—and its journey is far from over.
