Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Finally Gets a 60 FPS Cutscene Fix Thanks to a New PC Mod
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced players no longer have to watch cinematic scenes locked at 30 FPS. Just hours after the remake launched, modders released a new PC modification that removes the frame rate cap from cutscenes while also enabling Frame Generation during cinematics and menus. The community-made fix quickly became one of the most downloaded mods for the game, with many PC players calling it an essential improvement.

The mod, known as ACBlackFlagFix, is based on Lyall's previous work for other Ubisoft titles and requires only a simple installation. Once enabled, cutscenes run at the same frame rate as normal gameplay, eliminating the abrupt transition from smooth gameplay to 30 FPS cinematics. It also restores Frame Generation support where it was previously disabled, resulting in a noticeably smoother presentation on compatible hardware.
The release comes as players continue to report several launch-day technical issues, including the cutscene frame rate cap and other PC-specific bugs. Ubisoft has already acknowledged some of these problems and confirmed that official fixes are in development, but the community didn't wait. Within hours, modders delivered a workaround that many players say dramatically improves the experience while they wait for an official patch.
Although the fix is currently available only for the PC version, it has been widely praised for solving one of the remake's biggest technical complaints almost immediately after launch. Until Ubisoft releases an official update, ACBlackFlagFix offers the easiest way for PC players to enjoy Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced with fully unlocked, smooth cinematic sequences.
