Toys for Bob Would Love to Revive Banjo-Kazooie With a Brand-New Adventure

Developer Toys for Bob has once again expressed its desire to bring Banjo-Kazooie back with an entirely new game. During a recent interview, studio leaders said the beloved platforming franchise remains one of their dream projects, describing it as "a franchise we love" and revealing that several team members are longtime fans of Banjo and Kazooie. However, the developers stressed that no new Banjo-Kazooie game has been announced, and any revival would ultimately depend on Xbox and Rare, which own the series.

According to the studio, creating colorful, character-driven platformers has always been at the heart of Toys for Bob's identity. After successfully reviving Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, the team believes Banjo-Kazooie would naturally fit its creative direction. Developers explained that if the opportunity ever arose, they would enthusiastically begin work on a new entry, viewing the classic series as one of the greatest 3D platformers ever made.

The comments have reignited excitement among fans, especially since Banjo-Kazooie has remained largely dormant since Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts launched in 2008.
