Halo: Campaign Evolved Launches With Full Cross-Play and Shared Progress Across All Platforms
Halo Studios has confirmed that Halo: Campaign Evolved will support full cross-play and cross-progression from day one, allowing players on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC to enjoy the campaign together while keeping a single shared save across every platform. Whether playing solo or in online co-op, progress will automatically sync through a Microsoft account, making it easy to continue the adventure on any supported device. The feature is one of the remake's biggest additions and reflects Microsoft's continued push toward a unified gaming ecosystem.

The remake supports up to four-player online co-op with full cross-platform matchmaking, while console players can also enjoy two-player split-screen on a single system. Halo Studios says the goal is to make it easier than ever for friends to play together regardless of platform. Players who switch between Xbox, PC, or PlayStation will retain their campaign progress, unlocked achievements, and other supported data without needing to start over.
Built in Unreal Engine 5, Halo: Campaign Evolved completely reimagines the original Halo: Combat Evolved with modern visuals, updated gameplay systems, enhanced audio, and three brand-new story missions known as Operation: METEORITE. While the remake does not include the original competitive multiplayer, Halo Studios has focused on delivering a polished campaign experience with expanded cooperative features and seamless cross-platform functionality.
Halo: Campaign Evolved launches on July 28, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, with Game Pass availability on day one. By combining full cross-play with shared progression across every platform, Halo Studios is ensuring that players can experience Master Chief's legendary adventure together, no matter where they choose to play.
