Hell is Us Delayed on Nintendo Switch 2 — Developers Make a Last-Minute Release Date Change
Hell is Us won't arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 as originally planned. Developer Rogue Factor and publisher Nacon have announced that the Switch 2 version has been delayed by two weeks, moving its release date from September 24 to October 8, 2026. The good news for fans is that the developers emphasized the game itself is fully on track—the decision was made purely to avoid launching during one of the busiest release periods of the year.

According to the official statement, September 2026 features an exceptionally crowded lineup of major game releases, making it difficult for smaller titles to gain visibility. By shifting the launch to early October, Rogue Factor hopes Hell is Us will have a better opportunity to reach players without competing directly against several high-profile AAA releases. The studio thanked Nintendo fans for their patience and confirmed that development of the Switch 2 version continues as planned.
Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with exploration and mystery. Rather than relying on traditional quest markers or map icons, the game encourages players to investigate its semi-open world on their own, uncovering secrets through observation and environmental storytelling. This unique approach has helped the title stand out among upcoming action games.
While delays are often associated with development issues, that doesn't appear to be the case here. Rogue Factor insists the extra two weeks are simply a strategic scheduling decision aimed at giving Hell is Us a stronger launch window. Nintendo Switch 2 players will now be able to begin their adventure on October 8, 2026, alongside what the studio hopes will be a less crowded release calendar.
