inZOI Players Are Furious: Update 0.9.4 Suddenly Removes Automatic Cooking Feature
inZOI has received Update 0.9.4, but instead of adding new content, developer inZOI Studio has temporarily disabled automatic meal preparation, one of the game's core life simulation features. The change means that Zois will no longer automatically cook when it's mealtime, with the developers explaining that the system was causing unintended behavior and required further refinement before returning in a future update.

According to the official patch notes, the automatic cooking mechanic occasionally failed to work as intended, leading to unrealistic or inconsistent behavior. Alongside its temporary removal, the update improves character autonomy by reducing unnecessary conversations and helping Zois make better decisions based on their current needs. The goal is to create more believable daily routines while the cooking system is being redesigned.
Version 0.9.4 also delivers a number of important bug fixes. The developers have addressed an issue where Zois could remain idle without performing autonomous actions, fixed incorrect graduation status for some characters, resolved milestone tracking errors, eliminated an infinite loading bug when switching between family members, and corrected several Mac-specific graphical problems. Multiple crash-related issues have also been fixed to improve overall game stability.
Although Update 0.9.4 doesn't introduce new gameplay content, it represents another step toward improving inZOI's technical stability ahead of future feature updates. The automatic cooking system is expected to return once it has been properly reworked, while the latest hotfix focuses on delivering a smoother and more reliable life simulation experience for players.
