MindsEye Update 8 Brings Online Multiplayer, Custom Races, and Explosive Grenade Football
Build A Rocket Boy has unveiled the biggest update yet for MindsEye, with Update 8 introducing the game's long-awaited multiplayer mode alongside several brand-new ways to play. The headline features include online custom races for up to 12 players, a chaotic new Grenade Football mode, and expanded creator tools that allow the community to build, publish, and share their own racing circuits.

One of the most anticipated additions is online multiplayer racing, where players can design their own tracks using the game's creation tools before challenging friends and the wider community. Once published, custom circuits can be played by up to 12 competitors, significantly expanding MindsEye's user-generated content and giving players an endless supply of new race layouts to explore.
Update 8 also introduces Grenade Football, an over-the-top multiplayer mode that replaces traditional sports with explosive chaos. Instead of simply scoring goals, players must dodge blasts, outmaneuver opponents, and use grenades strategically to secure victory. Alongside the new game mode, Build A Rocket Boy is continuing to expand the Arcadia platform with additional tools and gameplay options, reinforcing its long-term vision of turning MindsEye into a community-driven experience rather than just a single-player action game.
The update represents a major step forward for MindsEye, which launched with a heavy focus on its cinematic campaign but has steadily evolved through post-launch updates. By adding online multiplayer, player-created races, and fresh competitive modes, Build A Rocket Boy hopes to rebuild momentum and give players more reasons to return. If Update 8 delivers on its promises, it could become one of the most important milestones in MindsEye's post-launch support and the strongest sign yet that the studio is committed to expanding the game well beyond its original release.
