Tides of Annihilation Goes Playable for the First Time at Gamescom 2026 — Ambitious Action RPG Opens Global Hands-On Demo

Tides of Annihilation is finally giving players a chance to experience its ambitious combat firsthand. Eclipse Glow Games has confirmed that the highly anticipated action RPG will receive its first-ever public playable demo at Gamescom 2026, marking the game's debut as a hands-on experience after months of trailers and gameplay showcases. Visitors attending the event in Cologne will be among the first in the world to explore its dark fantasy version of London and test its unique combat system.

The playable build will be available throughout Gamescom 2026, which runs from August 26 to August 30, while Opening Night Live will also feature a brand-new trailer showcasing previously unseen gameplay. According to Eclipse Glow Games, the demo is designed to introduce players to the game's fast-paced combat, cinematic boss battles, and the signature mechanic that allows protagonist Gwendolyn to summon the legendary Knights of the Round Table during battle.

Set in a devastated modern London transformed by an otherworldly invasion, Tides of Annihilation blends Arthurian mythology with stylish hack-and-slash combat and exploration. Players will fight alongside spectral knights, customize combat abilities, and take on gigantic enemies inspired by medieval legends while uncovering the mystery behind the collapse of civilization. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, although a release date has not yet been announced.

The announcement of a public demo is an important milestone for the project, giving players and media their first opportunity to judge the gameplay beyond cinematic trailers.
