A new wave of classic PC games is making its way back to modern platforms. Publisher SNEG has announced that six legendary titles originally developed by Stormfront Studios and other classic developers will be re-released on Steam and GOG, giving players another chance to experience some of the most memorable games of the late 1990s and early 2000s on modern hardware.

The lineup is headlined by Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor, the classic Dungeons & Dragons RPG that originally launched in 2001 as the first computer game to fully implement D&D 3rd Edition rules. Joining it are the post-apocalyptic action RPG Dark Earth, strategy titles Warlords IV: Heroes of Etheria and Soldiers at War, as well as the cult survival horror games Ecstatica and Ecstatica II. According to SNEG, all six titles are being updated to run smoothly on modern operating systems while preserving their original gameplay.

Among the announced releases, Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor is attracting the most attention from RPG fans. Set in the Forgotten Realms, the game sends players into the haunted ruins of Myth Drannor to stop a newly formed Pool of Radiance using tactical turn-based combat and party-based adventuring. Despite receiving mixed reviews at launch, it has become a cult classic over the years, and its upcoming digital re-release marks the first time the game will be officially available on Steam.

All six games are currently scheduled to launch on Steam and GOG in Q4 2026, although exact release dates have not yet been announced. The collection continues SNEG's mission of preserving classic PC games for modern audiences, ensuring that a new generation of players can experience titles that helped shape the early history of computer RPGs, strategy games, and survival horror.
