Blumhouse Games and developer Perfect Garbage have released a brand-new trailer for Grave Seasons, offering another look at one of the year's most unusual indie titles. The upcoming game combines the relaxing routines of a farming simulator with a dark supernatural mystery, placing players in a peaceful rural town where a serial killer is hiding among the residents. The latest footage highlights both the cozy life-simulation mechanics and the growing horror that threatens the community.

Set in the secluded town of Ashenridge, players take on the role of a newcomer hoping to build a quiet life by planting crops, fishing, raising animals, decorating a home, and forming relationships with the townsfolk. However, beneath the idyllic atmosphere lies a terrifying secret: one of the villagers is a supernatural murderer. As unexplained deaths begin to shake the town, players must gather clues, investigate suspicious behavior, and make difficult choices that influence both the story and the fate of the community.

The new trailer also showcases the game's distinctive pixel-art presentation, cinematic storytelling, and branching narrative. According to the developers, every decision matters, with player choices affecting friendships, romances, investigations, and multiple possible endings. Rather than presenting clear heroes and villains, Grave Seasons emphasizes moral ambiguity, encouraging players to decide whom to trust while balancing everyday farm life with an increasingly dangerous investigation.

Originally planned for an August launch, Grave Seasons has since been delayed to Fall 2026 to give the team additional time for polish across all platforms. The game is scheduled to release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with a playable demo expected ahead of launch. Thanks to its unique combination of cozy farming mechanics, relationship-building, and psychological horror, Grave Seasons is shaping up to be one of the most distinctive indie releases of the year.
