Remothered: Tormented Fathers Returns in Unreal Engine 5 With a Complete Visual Remaster
Stormind Games has officially announced Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered, bringing the acclaimed psychological survival horror classic to modern platforms with a full Unreal Engine 5 overhaul. The remaster is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, delivering significant graphical and technical improvements while preserving the original gameplay, story, and atmosphere that made the 2018 release a cult favorite.

Rather than reinventing the experience, the developers have focused on modernizing the presentation. The game has been rebuilt from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5, introducing Lumen dynamic lighting, upgraded environmental assets, enhanced character models, reworked cinematics, redesigned menus, and higher-quality textures. Stormind Games also confirmed that numerous legacy bugs have been fixed, alongside general stability and performance improvements, while ensuring the core survival horror gameplay remains unchanged.
Players will once again step into the shoes of Rosemary Reed, investigating the eerie Felton Mansion in search of answers surrounding the mysterious disappearance of Celeste Felton. The remaster retains the original's emphasis on stealth, psychological tension, environmental puzzles, and cinematic storytelling rather than action-oriented combat. According to the studio, the goal is to preserve the identity of the original game while presenting it with visuals and production values expected from current-generation hardware.
The announcement comes as Stormind Games continues expanding the Remothered franchise, with Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered also revealed alongside the first game's remaster. Although no release date has been announced yet, both titles are scheduled to launch in 2026, paving the way for the upcoming third installment, Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered promises the definitive version of one of modern survival horror's most atmospheric experiences.
