While the upcoming reimagining modernizes many aspects of the 1996 classic, the development team insists that Lara's fearless attitude remains the heart of the franchise.

According to the developers, the new Lara is no longer portrayed as an inexperienced adventurer struggling to find her place. Instead, Legacy of Atlantis presents a heroine at the height of her abilities—someone who trusts her instincts, tackles impossible situations without hesitation, and approaches danger with intelligence, wit, and composure.
