POSTAL 4: No Regerts Receives Massive 1.6.0 Update With Gameplay Improvements and Major Co-op Enhancements
Running With Scissors has released the long-awaited Version 1.6.0 update for POSTAL 4: No Regerts, delivering one of the game's biggest patches since launch. Dubbed the "Major Unturdification" update, Version 1.6.0 focuses on gameplay polish, quality-of-life improvements, extensive bug fixes, balance adjustments, and major progress toward the game's upcoming cooperative mode. The studio says the goal is to make POSTAL 4 a smoother and more enjoyable experience for both longtime fans and newcomers.

The update introduces hundreds of gameplay refinements across the campaign. Numerous mission blockers have been eliminated, NPC behavior has been improved, AI reactions have been rebalanced, and several long-standing issues affecting combat, physics, and player progression have been resolved. Running With Scissors also refined various errands, environmental interactions, and interface elements to improve the overall flow of the game while making exploration and combat feel more responsive.
One of the biggest highlights is the continued evolution of co-op multiplayer. Although cooperative play remains available through the public beta branch, Version 1.6.0 includes a large number of networking improvements, synchronization fixes, and replication optimizations designed to bring the feature closer to a stable public release. The developers fixed numerous issues involving shared objectives, interactable objects, mission progression, player movement, and client synchronization, significantly improving the overall multiplayer experience.
Running With Scissors confirmed that POSTAL 4 will continue receiving support throughout 2026, with additional hotfixes, Steam Workshop integration, and a full stable co-op release still on the roadmap. While Version 1.6.0 doesn't introduce major new story content, it represents one of the most comprehensive polish updates the game has ever received, reinforcing the studio's commitment to improving its chaotic open-world shooter long after launch.
