The First Descendant Unveils Roadmap Through the End of 2026, Including Season 4, PvEvP Mode, and Anniversary Celebration

Nexon has revealed an ambitious roadmap for The First Descendant, outlining major updates planned through the end of 2026 during the Descendant Fest 2026 livestream. The presentation confirmed Season 4: The Great Clash, a brand-new asymmetric PvEvP mode, new Descendants, endgame activities, and a large-scale celebration marking the game's second anniversary.

The roadmap begins with a July 15 update that introduces Void Intercept Battle: Extreme, a revamped endgame boss mode featuring scalable difficulty levels and a permanent leaderboard system. The biggest expansion arrives on August 20 with Season 4: The Great Clash, which concludes the current story arc through a massive Mega Dungeon, introduces the new playable Descendant Raven, adds Transcendent Weapons, and launches the endless Trials challenge mode. According to Nexon, Season 4 will focus on the final confrontation with Karel while also setting up future storylines involving Amon and the Magisters.

Additional content is scheduled throughout the rest of the year. September will introduce Ultimate Hailey and the procedurally enhanced dungeon Cradle of Evolution, while November brings the new Descendant Monet and the Henosis Sanctuary dungeon. The roadmap concludes in December with Colosseum-A, the game's first asymmetric PvEvP mode, where two teams compete simultaneously against Vulgus forces while sabotaging each other's objectives. Players will even gain the ability to transform into powerful Colossi, creating a hybrid experience that blends cooperative PvE with competitive PvP elements.

Alongside the gameplay roadmap, Nexon also launched a second anniversary celebration packed with limited-time events, exclusive cosmetics, login rewards, coupons, Twitch Drops, community contests, and personal player statistics. Fans can vote in the final round of the Skin Design Contest, claim anniversary-themed items, and redeem several promotional coupon codes released during the livestream. The studio says these celebrations are intended to thank players for two years of support while preparing the game for its largest content expansion yet. With Season 4, new characters, major endgame systems, and the introduction of PvEvP gameplay, The First Descendant is set for one of its biggest years since launch.
