The Last Gas Station Update #7 Adds Retro Mode, Kittens, and New Cozy Features
Developer Alawar has released Update #7 for The Last Gas Station, introducing a collection of new content that expands the cozy management simulator with a nostalgic Retro Mode, adorable kitten helpers, and several gameplay improvements. The free update is available now for all PC players and continues the studio's commitment to expanding the game with regular post-launch content.

The headline addition is Retro Mode, which transforms the game's presentation with classic pixel-inspired visuals, retro-inspired interface elements, and nostalgic visual effects designed to recreate the atmosphere of old-school management games. Players can switch between the standard presentation and Retro Mode at any time, offering a fresh way to experience life at the station without changing the core gameplay.
Update #7 also introduces recruitable kittens, which can assist with everyday station operations. These feline helpers automate routine tasks such as working at the checkout, organizing the warehouse, and helping with deliveries, allowing players to spend more time expanding their business or enjoying the game's relaxing activities. In addition, the update expands automation systems, adds new decorative items, introduces collectible rewards, and includes various quality-of-life improvements aimed at making station management smoother and more enjoyable.
Alongside the new content, Alawar has implemented numerous bug fixes and performance optimizations based on community feedback. The Last Gas Station continues to evolve through frequent free updates, with the latest patch further reinforcing its blend of cozy simulation, business management, and lighthearted humor. The addition of Retro Mode and helpful kitten companions offers both new and returning players even more reasons to revisit one of this year's most charming indie management games.
