Publisher Nacon and developer ACE Team have released a new trailer for The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu, offering another look at the upcoming co-op psychological horror game ahead of its launch. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's novella The Mound, the game follows a group of explorers searching for legendary treasure in a mysterious jungle where reality slowly begins to unravel. The latest footage highlights both the game's unsettling atmosphere and its survival-focused gameplay.

The trailer shows players navigating dense forests filled with monstrous creatures while managing limited ammunition and fragile equipment. Rather than encouraging direct combat, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu rewards teamwork, stealth, and careful decision-making. As the expedition progresses, explorers begin to suffer hallucinations that distort reality, making it difficult to distinguish enemies from allies and creating constant tension throughout each mission.

One of the game's defining mechanics is its sanity system, which gradually corrupts each character's perception of the world. Players may unknowingly sabotage teammates, react to threats that do not exist, or even become a danger to the rest of the group. According to the developers, these psychological effects are designed to ensure that no two expeditions unfold in exactly the same way.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu launches on July 15 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. With its blend of cooperative survival, psychological horror, and Lovecraft-inspired storytelling, the game is shaping up to be one of this summer's most distinctive multiplayer horror releases.
