Cronos: Lazarus Trailer Reveals New Gameplay and Story Details Ahead of Release
Bloober Team has released a new teaser for Cronos: Lazarus, offering a closer look at both the expansion's story and its action-focused gameplay. Set before the events of Cronos: The New Dawn, the DLC follows the Pathfinder, who embarks on a dangerous mission that puts him at odds with the mysterious Collective. The latest footage hints at deeper narrative connections while showcasing a more aggressive combat style than the original game.

The trailer introduces several new abilities designed to make combat faster and more dynamic. Players can use teleportation to quickly reposition during battles, deploy holographic decoys to distract enemies, and wield new weapons, including the powerful Gladius for close-range encounters. While the protagonist is stronger than before, the expansion also features more dangerous enemies and a relentless hunter that will pursue players throughout the campaign.
Beyond the gameplay improvements, the teaser expands on the game's lore by exploring the origins of the Warden and revealing more about the Collective's hidden agenda. Bloober Team describes Cronos: Lazarus as a key chapter in the overall story rather than a standalone side mission, giving players a chance to uncover events that shaped one of the base game's most important characters.
Cronos: Lazarus is scheduled to launch in Fall 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. With its expanded story, new abilities, and faster-paced combat, the DLC aims to build on the success of Cronos: The New Dawn while delivering a fresh survival horror experience for returning players.
