SpaceCraft Developers Delay New Content to Focus on Fixing the Game's Biggest Issues
Developer Shiro Games has announced a major shift in priorities for its space sandbox SpaceCraft, confirming that upcoming content updates will be postponed while the team focuses on improving the game's overall quality and stability. The decision follows extensive player feedback after the game's Early Access launch, with the developers saying that resolving core issues is now their highest priority.

According to the studio, the immediate focus will be on optimizing performance, improving server stability, fixing bugs, and refining the game's core systems before introducing additional gameplay features. Shiro Games acknowledged that while players are eager for new content, expanding the game without first addressing existing problems would only create more frustration. The team believes a stronger technical foundation is essential for SpaceCraft's long-term success.
The revised development roadmap includes improvements to resource gathering, ship construction, automation systems, user interface responsiveness, and multiplayer reliability. The developers also plan to continue balancing progression and refining quality-of-life features based on community suggestions. Future content—including new star systems, gameplay mechanics, and additional building options—has not been canceled but will arrive only after the game's most significant technical shortcomings have been addressed.
Shiro Games emphasized that this quality-first approach is intended to ensure SpaceCraft evolves into a stable and enjoyable long-term experience rather than rushing out updates that could introduce new problems. While players may have to wait longer for major content expansions, the studio hopes that concentrating on optimization, bug fixing, and gameplay improvements will create a much stronger foundation for the game's future development.
