The developers of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis have unveiled a new collection of concept art showcasing the diverse wildlife that Lara Croft will encounter during her journey through Peru. Released as part of the game's ongoing developer diary series, the artwork highlights Crystal Dynamics' efforts to create a richer ecosystem by blending authentic South American animals with the prehistoric creatures that made the original Tomb Raider (1996) so memorable.
The newly revealed illustrations feature wolves, bats, bears, monkeys, and several species of dinosaurs, all redesigned with modern detail while remaining faithful to the spirit of the classic adventure. According to the developers, every creature has been carefully reimagined using extensive research into Peru's landscapes and wildlife, while the prehistoric enemies remain an essential part of the Lost Valley's iconic atmosphere.
